We were thrilled to head back again this year to The Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, New York to decorate Nybelwyck Hall, the extraordinary mini manse on permanent view. (Photo Above: Tiny door and Christmas Wreath by D. Thomas Miniatures)

The 1/12th scale mini mansion by miniaturist Mark O'Banks took over 10 years to create and features 26 rooms in the Victorian style using a combination of artisan and hand crafted pieces. (Photo Above: The Rivertowns Enterprise)

Holidays at Nybelwyck Hall

Three architectural styles were used to create the exterior of this 9' long structure including Federal, Georgian and Dutch Colonial designs. We were excited to have help from a number of miniaturist who contributed customized pieces to help decorate the dollhouse for the holidays.

The front entrance features a large dellaRobbia wreath, glittering garland and potted greenery by D. Thomas Miniatures. Fruit is by Sharon Harbison.

A decorative wreath adorns the french doors leading to the conservatory located near the main kitchen.

Poinsettia by Kraig Coucell

Potted poinsettias by Kraig Councell from Creative Eye Miniatures were created to flank the entrance to the front of the house.

Nybelwyck Hall Christmas Center Hall

The 9" lighted Christmas tree (that would be 9' in real life!) from the D. Thomas Miniatures private collection contains an array of wrapped Christmas presents by Jen Rothstein (DogMa Creations).

Nybelwyck Hall Christmas Gifts

A number of vintage toys from the D. Thomas Miniatures private collection including a jack in the box, baby doll and horse pull toy await the Van Nybelwyck children, the fictional characters from the family created by Mark O'Banks who occupy the house.

The dangling miniature doll is from the D. Thomas Miniatures private collection and was placed under the Christmas tree from Santa for one of the Nybelwyck children!

Brooch by Manuela Herbst

A vintage style Victorian brooch in a gift box from Paris by Manuela Herbst is a gift to Mrs. Van Nybelwyck from her husband.

Turkey dinner, mince pies was created by Kim Clough from Fairchild Miniatures. The pig head is part of the original Nybelwyck Hall display.

The dining table is set with a number of sweets and cakes including gingerbread houses by May Burnett, heart-shaped linzer tarts by Maya Miniatures and a box of cookies and treats by Silke Fichtner.

Yule Log by The Clay Girl

Classic yule log by Malena, The Clay Girl, from The Clay Kitchen is decorated with tiny mushrooms and berries.

Nybelwyck Hall Living Room Christmas

A bright red tiered Christmas apple tree (side table) and a super tiny Christmas tree (center mantle) from the D. Thomas Miniatures private collection helps adorn the living room. Trio of red and white plaid ornaments (mantel) were created by Manuela Michieli from @MiniMadeinItaly.

A Tiny Door with Christmas wreath created by D. Thomas Miniatures highlights the area beneath the center hall where "Paddy" lives.

Paddy is the mythical character created by Mark O'Banks who lives under the stairs and protects the Nybelwyck family.
