D. Thomas Fine Miniatures Presents at Decorative & Fine Arts Society


We were excited to be asked to present to the Decorative & Fine Art Society of Bergen County, New Jersey on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Our presentation, Miniatures: REthink Dollhouse included the history of miniatures from the days of the pharaohs through the Renaissance era, manufacturing age and to modern day.

We shared details about the Thorne Rooms, an amazing collection on permanent exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. Other topics included

We went on to share details about the amazing collection of Thorne Rooms on permanent exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago as well as a few other well-known and collections.

Other topics including contemporary miniature media like pottery, glass and polymer foods and latest trends (graffiti and 3D printed miniatures!).
