BADASS MINIATURES: New Exhibition!

BadAss Miniatures

Our latest exhibition BadAss Miniatures Causing a Little Trouble opens on Saturday, May 5th at our studio/gallery in Yonkers NY. 35 artists create tiny art without boundaries. These small works are defiant, quirky and compelling. Some may make you feel slightly uncomfortable. Welcome to the disobedient dollhouse. The show is co-curated by Kate Ünver founder of The Daily Mini and runs through July 22 - check here for details.

The Libraries at The University of Iowa has an extraordinary collection of over 4,000 miniature books - the oldest dates back to 1488 and the smallest is just a few millimeters wide. More photos on this Tumblr site.

Bloomberg reports that the architecture and design-obsessed are now having bespoke, made-to-order, miniaturized versions of their homes created. (Yeah, we totally get that trend!).

This incredible dollhouse (c1900) was featured in a previous exhibition at The Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg is over 10' long and was saved from demolition from a home on Long Island in NY.

Meet the maker behind the dollhouse causing a frenzy with fans of Fixer Upper and enthusiasts alike! When Dr. Kwandaa Roberts isn't delivering babies she's working on an awesome dollhouse refurb inspired by the HGTV hit series starring Chip and Joanna Gaines.
