1. BEV IS BEST KNOWN FOR HER ART DOLLS

Her whimsical, one-of-a-kind, hand-sculpted dolls made from polymer clay over a wire armature (for stability) are packed with a punch of personality including "Washtub Babe" pictured here. Once sculpted, her dolls are then hand painted, wigged, and dressed using a variety of materials including cottons, silks, and woolens. Bev translates this intricate knowledge and skill into sculpting a 1/12th scale bust.

2. FINISHING TIPS AND DESIGN TECHNIQUES

Bev will teach you the basics of sculpting a face and head as well as facial proportions. You'll also learn how to create and sculpt the "hair" onto your bust. Oh, and all the tools and materials are provided, so all you need to do is bring yourself!

3. HER PROJECTS ARE FREEFORMING

Bev's classes are for students at all skill levels and abilities. While you may choose to follow the project prototype, you always have the option to "freeform" and use your imagination to "work" your piece in a whole new direction. This makes for an infinite number of super-unique ways your project can turn out!

4. MULTIPLE CLASS BENEFITS AND USAGE

Your finished scale bust will measure about an inch or two but will pack a whole lot of detail! Use the piece in a dollhouse, shadowbox or roombox setting or just show it off on your desk or curio cabinet. Either way you'll learn tons about sculpting in small scale and have a great miniature to display!

5. WALK AWAY WITH A FINISHED PIECE YOU'LL BE PROUD OF

Under Bev's careful instruction and solid direction, you'll be guided to create a delightful sculpture ready to share with friends and family and to add to your own collection.

6. CLASS WITH BEV IS AN ABOLUTE BLAST!

Finally, the Sculpting workshop with Bev is done with an open and relaxed instruction style - classes are small, so there is lots of individualized attention. It can be intense but students work within their own levels while having a really good time! If you know Bev, then you know you will have fun in her class!
