This Week in Miniatures

Welcome to the latest WEEkly round up of the latest news and reports from the MiniWorld! (Photo: Adrian Sonderegger & Jojakim Cortis)

BadAss Banned!

Our latest exhibition caused more than a little trouble this past week when BadAss Miniaturist Kim Clough from @Bizarro_Sculpt posted her work on DeviantArt, the popular art site. The site removed her post just three days later!

Additionally, the Green Panda Dispensary by Amanda Kelly from Panda Miniatures has caused one of our followers to un-follow (in dramatic fashion) resulting in a torrent of comments (mostly in support of the show!).

Our latest exhibition BadAss Miniatures Causing a Little Trouble is on view by appointment through July 22 in Yonkers, New York. For a full details, along with additional images from the show, head here.

Miniature Guild Artisans go BadAss

We're excited to have a number of IGMA artisans (International Guild of Miniature Artisans) who have made contribution to our latest exhibition BadAss Miniatures including Guild Fellows Brooke Rothshank and Carolyn Nygren Curran and Guild Artisans Michael Yurkovic and Susan Van Tubbergen. Work by these talented artisans may be seen here.

Meet Miniaturist Jason

Jason is a miniaturist who makes tiny houses. His autism doesn't limit him or stop him from creating awesome houses and interiors in small scale. We like Jason!

Miniature Spaces On View

Susan Leopold creates miniatures rooms and spaces drawing from personal experience. Take a look at some of her previous work which was show recently at the Elizabeth Harris Gallery in NYC.

Iconic Photographs Recreated in Miniature

Several very famous photographs have been recreated in painstaking detail by team Cortis & Sonderegger in this piece from CNN Styles.

Loose Ends:

> Rare (full size) liquor cabinet by the Maitland Smith Company, perfect to use as a dollhouse cabinet goes on auction on June 1 at Invaluable.

> Lee Harper from History Bones guest blogs for Louise Krasniewicz over at her blog The Wonder of Miniatures.

> Corinne Tryon (BadAss Miniaturists) tells her story about persistence and the making of her first miniature "Tiny Story" in this blog post.

We hope you enjoyed this WEEkly update. Be sure to share this post with other miniacs and have them subscribe here so they never miss an update!
