Welcome friends, enthusiasts and collectors! My Early Fall Auction is in full swing, and the first lots featuring an awesome assortment of Karen Markland miniatures (among other tiny treasures) closes Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 7pm ET. If you've been watching or waiting, now's the time to take part. And the fun doesn't stop there, new waves of treasures will follow in the weeks ahead to make sure each Sunday brings you a fresh new batch of tiny discoveries!

I couldn't imagine a more joyful way to begin the fall season than presenting miniatures from the wonderful world of the very talented IGMA Fellow Karen Markland. This is the largest group of Karen's miniatures that I've ever had the pleasure to offer. These pieces come to us from a West Coast collector looking to downsize and was curated with a deep and broad range of pieces that were kept in excellent condition. If you already love Karen's work, this is a terrific opportunity to find pieces to add to your collections. If you're new to her work, you're in for a treat!

Highlighted in this week's auction are three seasonal themed favorites which Karen was widely known for: Christmas, Halloween and Autumn and includes hand-painted furniture, decor and accessories. Each piece is overflowing with imagination and whimsy, and with a charm that transforms a space into something more than just a display! Learn more about Karen and her work in a recent blog post here:

There are a few surprises in this sale as well with a limited range of miniatures with a similar vibe including work by Hemi (shown above), Bauder Pine, IGMA Fellow Mary Bures, and more, as well as pieces from multi estates that I've been working on. Welcome to a new season of miniature discoveries.

Alongside these, Wave II introduces an eclectic mix of pieces from multiple estates including artisan and commercial furniture, multi-piece lots, sterling silver, hand-thrown pottery, decorative accessories, and other quality crafted miniatures. I've set up a preview so you can take a look before the sale goes live:

I love sharing these mixed estates because there's always that little spark of discovery, something that catches your eye....like stumbling onto a ("must have") piece you didn't know you needed (but do).
